SC Balde's Sérgio Henriques tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Pinho having to interfere. Rodrigo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sérgio Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Pires in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sérgio Henriques, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alexandre Pinho came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Balde's Daniel Veiga. But to his dismay, Daniel Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Filipe Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Henriques having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Balde's Basílio Alves got a free kick in the 24th minute. SC Balde's Daniel Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Melo in the 33rd minute of play forced SC Balde's goalkeeper Sérgio Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Pinho having to interfere. Alexandre Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Veiga to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Insua fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! Daniel Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alexandre Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Melo in the 62nd minute of play. Filipe Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Henriques having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Filipe Melo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio Henriques was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Óscar Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Óscar Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, SC Balde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Dantas to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Mendes got free with Alexandre Pinho in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Mota during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomás Mota hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Alexandre Pinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Veiga's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 93rd minute, Tomás Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, SC Balde's David Mendes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The SC Balde supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Balde would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
