André Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. David Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Heitor Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some careless play in the Arroio FC defense, Henrique Borges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hélder Abreu. The Arroio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hélder Abreu should have stopped the shot. Hélder Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Arroio FC's zone, Henrique Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Abreu came out of the goal and Henrique Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heitor Macedo was the one to do the kick off. When Paulo Jesus fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arroio FC's protests and gave Paulo Jesus a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Arroio FC's Paulo Jesus got a free kick in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, SC Cambarinho's Henrique Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélder Abreu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hélder Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Macedo in the 67th minute of play. Hélder Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Borges in the 71st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Borges got free with Hélder Abreu in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute Heitor Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arroio FC's goalkeeper Hélder Abreu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hélder Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Henrique Borges got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for SC Cambarinho. In the 91st minute, Hélder Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Borges in the 93rd minute. In the 99th minute, SC Cambarinho's António Carneiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed António Carneiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Cambarinho protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and António Carneiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 99 minutes into the game, one of SC Cambarinho:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arroio FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Cambarinho for a fine match.
