Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Américo Faria kicked off to start the match. A hard shot by Adelino Valente from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Pedro Borges's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 14th play minutes Jaime Santarém shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Manuel Assunção and just under the crossbar into goal. Pedro Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Manuel Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Américo Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Pedro Borges made a huge save. Pedro Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Faria in the 33rd minute of play. Pedro Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of SC Hortas booed when Serralva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half SC Hortas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Gaspar Rocha made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Hortas's Ricardo Coimbra got a free kick in the 57th minute. Eduardo Simões hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Américo Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serralva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Américo Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Hortas's Pedro Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Faria in the 65th minute of play. Pedro Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Faria in the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Serralva's Adolfo Santos got a free kick in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Rocha in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Assunção prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaime Santarém recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Serralva's goalkeeper Manuel Assunção, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaspar Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Assunção read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The SC Hortas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
