The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. David Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Júlio Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campanha FC. José Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Abreu having to interfere. David Carneiro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. David Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Júlio Abreu made a huge save. Júlio Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Cruz having to interfere. Rogério Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Júlio Brito struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Rogério Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Troviscainho FC. Rogério Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Alfredo Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Duarte Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Troviscainho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campanha FC the free kick. 29 minutes into the match, Campanha FC's Heitor Amaro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Júlio Abreu made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when David Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd match minute, Campanha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Baptista to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th match minute, Campanha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Pinto to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Pedro Assis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogério Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Brito made a kick off. Troviscainho FC's Júlio Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Fonseca in the 52nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Campanha FC's corner Heitor Amaro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Júlio Abreu quite easily take care of the ball. Duarte Fonseca's shot from long distance in the 58th minute was not bad at all, but Campanha FC's Rogério Cruz knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 59th minute José Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Júlio Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Troviscainho FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Fonseca came free, but Júlio Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, José Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Abreu. Troviscainho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Troviscainho FC's zone, José Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Abreu came out of the goal and José Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that José Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Abreu was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Pedro Assis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Troviscainho FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
