In the 18thth minute of the game Diamantino Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gateiras FC's Alberto Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trancoso's goalkeeper Alexandre Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Diamantino Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 24 minutes, Sebastião Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gateiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trancoso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Diamantino Lopes scored to the left of an out of position Alexandre Antunes, making the score, 2-1. Diamantino Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Alexandre Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes of play, Gateiras FC's Sebastião Coimbra made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, Nuno Leiria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Carneiro. Gateiras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Leiria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Nuno Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Leiria to strike the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Fontes in the 51st minute of the match. Diamantino Veiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Alberto Carneiro made a huge save.
