An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Lopes in the 16th minute of play forced SC Tabaco's goalkeeper Luís Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SC Tabaco getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. David Pedroso hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, SC Tabaco's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Lopes came free, but Luís Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Augusto Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Carneiro having to interfere. Alberto Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Sousa in the 62nd minute of the match. Gateiras FC's Alberto Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Aguiar in the 65th minute of play. João Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Tabaco's Augusto Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Gateiras FC defense, Augusto Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Carneiro. The Gateiras FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Carneiro should have stopped the shot. If Sebastião Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, João Aguiar notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gateiras FC's Alberto Carneiro. Alberto Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastião Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gateiras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
