Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mocho's Gustavo Silva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lourenço Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Borba having to interfere. If Marco Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mocho's Júlio Borba got control of the ball when Rui Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lourenço Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Borba's late challenge caught a Ribacais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Borba helped the player get up and apologised. Bernardo Borba hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Ribacais's Lourenço Campos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júlio Borba. Júlio Borba yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 32 minutes, Rui Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribacais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Heitor Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ribacais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mocho the free kick. Heitor Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Marco Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Miranda having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Ribacais's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Silva came free, but Afonso Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Mocho's Marco Ferro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lourenço Campos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Ferro might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Miranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Ferro ran back to his position shaking his head. Rui Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Bernardo Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Rui Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Borba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Gustavo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Pedro Resende mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mocho and the Ribacais players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Resende hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Júlio Borba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Júlio Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Freitas in the 95th minute of play. If Rui Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
