In the 4th minute, Daniel Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Joaquim Leão throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gustavo Silva in the 5thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After a rather tough play, SC Regueira's Carlos Gonçalves got a free kick in the 7th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Regueira's zone, Gustavo Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Leão came out of the goal and Gustavo Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Leão's late challenge caught a Mocho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Leão helped the player get up and apologised. Gabriel Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, one of SC Regueira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ricardo Freitas placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After having played for 27 minutes, Gustavo Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mocho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of SC Regueira booed when Mocho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Ramos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Júlio Borba. Mocho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Mocho's Marco Ferro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Júlio Borba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Leão went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Diogo Fernandes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Júlio Borba. Mocho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gabriel Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Leão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Gonçalves was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. SC Regueira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bernardo Borba kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Mocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Resende to maneuver through the defense. Júlio Borba acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carlos Resende. After having played for 61 minutes, Gabriel Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Regueira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Gabriel Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Borba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Leão couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Gustavo Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mocho's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ricardo Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mocho's protests and gave Ricardo Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Mocho's Júlio Borba got control of the ball when Carlos Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Silva in the 78th minute of play forced SC Regueira's goalkeeper Joaquim Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jorge Campos fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Regueira's protests and gave Jorge Campos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Regueira getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jorge Campos hit a great ball. Joaquim Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Silva in the 80th minute of the match. If Marco Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Gustavo Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
