Lucas Guerreiro charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Guerreiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lucas Guerreiro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Diogo Vaz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Terranho's Artur Figueiredo didn't even have to move. João Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Figueiredo having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Terranho's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Faria came free, but Artur Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Amílcar Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Daniel Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Daniel Pinho made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Pedro Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Amílcar Faria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Figueiredo. Terranho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amílcar Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Amílcar Faria came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Carvicais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Faria couldn't finish the play. After the first half Carvicais were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Brás to strike the kick off in the second half. If Amílcar Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carvicais's João Brás in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Daniel Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Artur Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When João Brás came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Carvicais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Brás couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Terranho's Artur Figueiredo got control of the ball when Amílcar Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vítor Lima during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Terranho getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Vítor Lima hit a great ball. When Amílcar Faria came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Carvicais fans jumped to their feet. Carvicais's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
