João Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Faria having to interfere. André Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Leal in the 11th minute of play. Jacinto Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Neves in the 19th minute of play forced Valdegas FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Leal in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Cruz in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Faria saved Valdegas FC from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, SC Fandinhais's goalkeeper André Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Lisboa. Jacinto Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Resende charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Resende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hugo Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Jacinto Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Cruz in the 42nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Neves in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Faria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After having played for 53 minutes, João Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Fandinhais's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Fandinhais's zone, Rafael Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Baptista came out of the goal and Rafael Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Fandinhais's João Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Valdegas FC's Manuel Leal in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Fandinhais's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Leal in the 70th minute of play forced SC Fandinhais's goalkeeper André Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When João Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the SC Fandinhais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Cruz couldn't finish the play. Humberto Neves in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
