SC Lameirao's Jacinto Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save SC Lameirao from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão Lopes during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jacinto Macedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vítor Teixeira went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Gonçalo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Marques in the 18th minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, SC Lameirao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Faria to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Rogério Pires in the 24th minute really tested Jacinto Macedo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Vítor Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th match minute, SC Lameirao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Mota to maneuver through the defense. Jacinto Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, SC Lameirao's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Gonçalves came free, but Jacinto Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vargem's Basílio Matos got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 36 played minutes, SC Lameirao's Gabriel Nogueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonçalo Ramos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Lameirao reached it. 38 minutes into the match, Vargem's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Leiria came free, but Gonçalo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Vargem getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Armindo Borba hit a great ball. Gonçalo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Simões in the 40th minute of the match. Vargem's Gonçalo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Simões in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match Alexandre Santarém sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonçalo Ramos skillfully saved the ball. After 45 minutes, David Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vargem and the SC Lameirao players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Vargem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Leiria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vargem booed when SC Lameirao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. When Pedro Simões came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the SC Lameirao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Simões couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Vargem's Basílio Matos got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Augusto Leiria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Lameirao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Leiria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vítor Teixeira scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vítor Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Macedo having to interfere. Jacinto Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute Hugo Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hugo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vargem were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Lameirao for a fine match.
