The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Domingues in the 3rd minute of play forced Especande FC's goalkeeper Cândido Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cândido Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Domingues in the 19th minute of the match. Especande FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Especande FC's André Brás got a free kick in the 23rd minute. But to his dismay, Daniel Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Daniel Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Fresulfe's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cândido Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Vieira during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Especande FC booed when SC Fresulfe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Neto made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Emanuel Correia sent off a good shot on target. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Fresulfe reached it. Miguel Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
