Armando Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Bessa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Freitas couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Carlos Gueifão made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, SC Narangera's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Gueifão came free, but Pedro Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
