Tronco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sanceriz the free kick. After 39 played minutes Tronco FC got a freekick which was hit by André Henriques. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 78th minute, one of Sanceriz:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sanceriz. The goalkeeper, Gustavo Viana, was totally fooled by Tronco FC's David Gonçalves, who 81 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 86th minute Eusébio Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Henriques might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Viana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Henriques ran back to his position shaking his head. Armindo Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Jesus's late challenge caught a Sanceriz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Jesus helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tronco FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Marco Jesus hit a great ball. In the 98th match minute, Sanceriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Leal to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tronco FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
