Luís Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruivoz FC's Joaquim Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Luz in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliveira Cabral in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Oliveira Cabral sped through Contumil FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of André Ramos. Luís Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Joaquim Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Pires having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Ruivoz FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Figueiredo. 42 minutes into the match, Luís Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Pires. Ruivoz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Oliveira Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Ramos having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Marques to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ruivoz FC booed when Contumil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruivoz FC's António Azevedo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Contumil FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Veiga during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Contumil FC's Manuel Veiga got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Paulo Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Contumil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Marques came free, but André Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ruivoz FC booed when Contumil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlos Resende fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Contumil FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. André Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliveira Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but André Ramos made a huge save.
