Marco Machado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Canico FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marco Machado struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Rodrigo Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canico FC. Rogério Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cândido Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Canico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Paiva came free, but Cândido Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Canico FC's Cândido Pinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Nogueira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Prado:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canico FC:s goal. Rodrigo Nogueira went to the wrong direction when Cristiano Leal was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Cristiano Leal scored 1-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Nogueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rodrigo Nogueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Machado went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.
