The audience was convinced that Jorge Valente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duarte Cruz was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Valente was the one to do the kick off. If Jorge Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Duarte Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cândido Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Ferro hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ovar booed when SC Vilela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
