Artur Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Correia in the 25th minute. If Tiago Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Vítor Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diamantino Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Amaral was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 44 minutes into the game, Inácio Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Malvar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soltaria FC the free kick. The supporters of Soltaria FC booed when SC Malvar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Diamantino Borges came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Soltaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Borges couldn't finish the play.

After a rather tough play, Soltaria FC's Eusébio Ferreira got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Diamantino Borges sped through SC Malvar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amílcar Amaro. Diamantino Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílcar Amaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Correia in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 86th minute Vítor Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute Tiago Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Soltaria FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
