António Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. A collision led to SC Caxaries getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lucas Trindade hit a great ball. Amílcar Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Amorim in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Correia in the 14th minute of play forced SC Caxaries's goalkeeper António Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. António Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílcar Amaro made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Mariano Faro sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Lourenço Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Afonso Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the SC Malvar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Amaral couldn't finish the play. António Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiago Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. António Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílcar Amaro made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Lucas Trindade sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cristóvão Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílcar Amaro came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Caxaries's Rui Amorim. But to his dismay, Rui Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Afonso Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. António Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Afonso Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Malvar's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Caxaries fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! The referee gave SC Malvar a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gustavo Nogueira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Caxaries's António Correia. 1-1. Lucas Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Amílcar Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Mariano Faro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Caxaries and the SC Malvar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mariano Faro kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Tiago Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Campos's late challenge caught a SC Caxaries's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Campos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute, Domingos Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
