A collision led to Marateca FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Mário Costa hit a great ball. Rodrigo Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th match minute, Marateca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Faria to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Henrique Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Brito in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Rodrigo Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marateca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Chascas FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Viriato Valente hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Costa in the 33rd minute of play forced Chascas FC's goalkeeper Henrique Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrique Leal having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Nunes in the 38th minute of play forced Marateca FC's goalkeeper Emílio Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Emílio Henriques made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mário Costa made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Viriato Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Brito got free with Henrique Leal in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Rodrigo Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chascas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 68 minutes into the match, Chascas FC's goalkeeper Henrique Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Brito. 70 minutes into the game, Gabriel Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marateca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chascas FC the free kick. Gabriel Torres hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, José Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chascas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mário Costa struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Henrique Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marateca FC. 88 minutes into the match, Marateca FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Nunes came free, but Emílio Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If José Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viriato Valente during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chascas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marateca FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
