The supporters of Juncais FC booed when Pombas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bento Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pombas's Tomás Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Pombas from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Oliveira in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Borba saved Juncais FC from getting behind. Juncais FC's Pedro Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Araújo in the 25th minute of play. Gabriel Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bento Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bento Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Oliveira in the 40th minute of the match.
