The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Dantas to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Gatao's Carlos Santarém got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tiago Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Pinheiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Ramos having to interfere. Tiago Macedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Jaime Anjos's late challenge caught a SC Pinheiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Anjos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Pinheiro's André Rodrigues got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 97 minutes of play SC Gatao's Jaime Anjos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
