Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Lima started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Lima in the 12th minute of play forced Dao FC's goalkeeper Basílio Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Assumar's Pedro Assis pulled a muscle in his back after 14 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 14 minutes, José Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dao FC and the Assumar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, José Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Assumar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when José Veiga scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Ribeiro, making the score, 1-1. The supporters of Dao FC booed when Assumar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Assumar's zone, Ricardo Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Ribeiro came out of the goal and Ricardo Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Antunes having to interfere. The supporters of Assumar booed when Dao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Delgado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A hard shot 39 in the game by Ricardo Moura from a close distance when the talented Carlos Ribeiro managed to make a qualified save. Assumar's players were relieved. David Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Veiga to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, José Veiga fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Carlos Ribeiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Veiga in the 56th minute of play forced Assumar's goalkeeper Carlos Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Dao FC's goalkeeper Basílio Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Morais. Carlos Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Veiga in the 64th minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game José Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Assumar's Carlos Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gustavo Delgado hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, José Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Moura in the 86th minute of play. Carlos Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If José Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When José Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Dao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Veiga couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
