Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 4 minutes, Gil Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Populo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If António Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Dantas struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Sandro Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Populo. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Júlio Guerreiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Amparo FC's Sandro Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Branco in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Amparo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Xavier Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sandro Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Branco in the 20th minute of the match. Gil Branco scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandro Monteiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 played minutes Amparo FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gaspar. José Sousa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandro Monteiro. Amparo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Amparo FC! After a defensive mix-up in Amparo FC's zone, Gil Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro Monteiro came out of the goal and Gil Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amparo FC's Sandro Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Dantas in the 46th minute of play. Xavier Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Sandro Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Xavier Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Populo's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Dantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavier Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Amparo FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Xavier Correia hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Populo's Sandro Monteiro threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Xavier Dantas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gil Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Monteiro having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Xavier Dantas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sandro Monteiro, 0-3. If Júlio Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basílio Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Joel Silva fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Populo's protests and gave Joel Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Silva hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Gil Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Populo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Populo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
