Lourenço Guerreiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuno Castro's late challenge caught a Longroiva FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Castro helped the player get up and apologised. If Lourenço Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Maia having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Nuno Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Lourenço Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longroiva FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Sérgio Moutinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Covelinhas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 29th match minute, Longroiva FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. Covelinhas FC's Heitor Vale couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Longroiva FC. Longroiva FC's Bruno Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Américo Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell António Pinheiro to make the kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. David Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Covelinhas FC's António Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Pires narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lourenço Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
