Portelo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Lugar's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Fontes came free, but Joaquim Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lugar's André Torres got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Daniel Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Carlos Correia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lugar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Correia in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Garcia saved Portelo FC from getting behind. The Portelo FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lugar were winning 1-3.
