After having played for 26 minutes, Jorge Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Lagens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Humberto Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lagens's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Borges in the 29th minute of the match. Henrique Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lagens's zone, David Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Pereira came out of the goal and David Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Pereira made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Hélder Luz sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Monteiro hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when David Marques made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Mouchinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. Armando Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, David Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mouchinha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Luz in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Lagens's goalkeeper Cristiano Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Santos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henrique Gomes. Mouchinha FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Moutinho in the 79th minute of play forced Mouchinha FC's goalkeeper Henrique Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Gomes having to interfere. If Jorge Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
