Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jorge Esteves made the kick off and thus started the match. Basílio Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Nuno Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Fonseca in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Joaquim Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Óscar Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Mendes having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Inácio Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, José Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amarante's supporters rose to their feet, but José Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Óscar Pacheco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquim Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Inácio Cardoso got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 44 played minutes SC Milhoes got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Cardoso. 47 minutes into the match, SC Milhoes's goal looked a bit too open when José Fonseca came free, but Nuno Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Fonseca to make the kick off. Nuno Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Campos in the 52nd minute of play. SC Milhoes's Óscar Pacheco got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Óscar Pacheco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Joaquim Mendes made a huge save. SC Milhoes's Nuno Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Fonseca in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Pacheco got free with Joaquim Mendes in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Antunes during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Milhoes booed when Amarante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Alexandre Maia made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Marques. SC Milhoes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Amarante's Joaquim Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Amarante from getting a goal against them. After having played for 66 minutes, Óscar Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Milhoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Pacheco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Pacheco got free with Joaquim Mendes in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Óscar Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Mendes having to interfere. If José Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Amarante's Basílio Campos in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Milhoes's goalie prevented a goal. SC Milhoes's Nuno Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Campos in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Amarante getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Joaquim Ferreira hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Amarante fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Milhoes had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
