Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joaquim Paiva started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Palheirinhos FC's zone, Sérgio Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Aguiar came out of the goal and Sérgio Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 4 minutes, Inácio Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palheirinhos FC and the SC Quinteiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. 8 minutes into the game, Joaquim Paiva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Diogo Aguiar. Joaquim Paiva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Sérgio Antunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diogo Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Palheirinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Barros to maneuver through the defense. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, SC Quinteiro's Adelino Bessa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Diogo Aguiar. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palheirinhos FC's goalkeeper Diogo Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diogo Aguiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sérgio Antunes in the 19th minute. Alexandre Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palheirinhos FC's Alexandre Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simão Fernandes was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Palheirinhos FC's goalkeeper Diogo Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Antunes. Palheirinhos FC's Diogo Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Paiva in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Sérgio Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Quinteiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Quinteiro's Adelino Bessa got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Sérgio Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Quinteiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rui Torres made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Joaquim Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 64th minute, Emanuel Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Aleixo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Palheirinhos FC's Simão Fernandes threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rui Torres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 77 minutes into the game, Armindo Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Quinteiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palheirinhos FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Quinteiro's Armindo Soares got a free kick in the 77th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of SC Quinteiro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palheirinhos FC:s goal. The Palheirinhos FC fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Palheirinhos FC's Alexandre Reis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Simão Fernandes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Torres went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Palheirinhos FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
