Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when André Setúbal got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Formoselos FC's António Cunha got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Manuel Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Setúbal in the 9th minute of the match. Formoselos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when André Setúbal scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Vale, making the score, 1-1. The supporters of Almargem booed when Formoselos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Marques struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Manuel Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formoselos FC. Afonso Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Paiva having to interfere. Manuel Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Marques in the 37th minute of play. When João Luz came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Almargem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Luz couldn't finish the play. Alberto Marques struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Manuel Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formoselos FC. In the 44th minute André Setúbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Paiva having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Manuel Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Marques in the 57th minute of play. Afonso Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Afonso Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Manuel Paiva made a huge save. In the 73rd minute of the match Sérgio Maia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Vale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 74 minutes, Ricardo Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formoselos FC and the Almargem players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Almargem booed when Formoselos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Formoselos FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Andrade. Afonso Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Luz in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Almargem getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Vítor Lopes hit a great ball. Almargem's Manuel Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Marques in the 89th minute of play. Ricardo Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Manuel Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
