Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Sainde's Rui Leite started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Álvaro Moreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Sainde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Silva the free kick. In the 4th minute, Álvaro Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Sá charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Sá the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Leite in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Pereira saved Silva from getting behind. After having played for 7 minutes, Abel Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Silva's Abel Branco in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Sainde's goalie prevented a goal. David Leão came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rogério Trindade could save by the left post. Fernando Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 minutes of play, SC Sainde's Rui Leite made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Pereira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rogério Trindade made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when David Leão sent off a good shot on target. Rui Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Pereira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Abel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Trindade having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Branco to make the kick off. João Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 62nd minute, David Leão made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Trindade. SC Sainde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 66 played minutes SC Sainde got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Moreira. David Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Trindade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th minute, José Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but João Pereira made a huge save. Fernando Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pereira having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
