Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 6th minute of the match Cristiano Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Torres having to make a save. Daniel Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Torres having to interfere. Adolfo Macedo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Rui Torres was a little too slow when António Esteves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. When Lúcio Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Chapinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Coelho couldn't finish the play. Henrique Moreira hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match, Daniel Porto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rui Torres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Adolfo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Leão hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Areao's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Macedo came free, but Cristóvão Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Chapinha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after António Esteves fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Daniel Porto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. When Daniel Porto came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Areao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Porto couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Rocha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Torres. Chapinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lúcio Coelho made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, António Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areao's supporters rose to their feet, but António Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lúcio Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Pires having to interfere. Cristóvão Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Coelho in the 75th minute of play. Rui Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes Chapinha got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Amorim. Cristóvão Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Macedo in the 87th minute. In the 92nd minute, Chapinha's Lúcio Coelho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristóvão Pires. Cristóvão Pires yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Chapinha's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
