The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Correia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 15 played minutes, Leirados's Amadeu Moniz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexandre Correia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leirados reached it. Joaquim Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Sandro Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Silva having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Tiago Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leirados and the Sabacheira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sabacheira FC's Sandro Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 98th minute, António Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sabacheira FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
