After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Armando Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leirados's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Assis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Ferro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th match minute, Leirados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Pocinho's Alberto Fernandes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Leirados. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Leirados booed when Pocinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 47 minutes of play, Pocinho's Rafael Viana made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Rafael Viana made the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Assis in the 55th minute of play. Leirados's Joaquim Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Viana in the 61st minute of play. If Artur Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th play minute Artur Monteiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joaquim Silva. 0-2. In the 70th minute, António Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers António Araújo in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastião Ferro saved Pocinho from getting behind. Joaquim Silva was a little too slow when Rafael Viana got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Leirados's goalkeeper Joaquim Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. António Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If António Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Monteiro took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Silva. Joaquim Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 99th minute of the match, Rafael Viana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joaquim Silva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pocinho walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
