After 6 minutes, Eusébio Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baltaria and the SC Repolao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Baltaria's Eusébio Magalhães got a free kick in the 6th minute. Eusébio Magalhães got his second yellow card in the match during the 14th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 15 played minutes Baltaria got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Magalhães. 16 minutes into the match, Baltaria's goalkeeper José Gueifão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by António Dantas. In the 27th minute, Duarte Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Esteves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Cristiano Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Baltaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Baptista couldn't finish the play. André Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Cristiano Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of SC Repolao booed when Baltaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Xavier Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Gueifão having to interfere. José Gueifão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes of play, SC Repolao's António Dantas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Gueifão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xavier Esteves in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Gueifão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. António Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xavier Esteves in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Gueifão saved Baltaria from getting behind.
