After 4 minutes, Hélder Ribeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perdigueira FC and the SC Casenho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Perdigueira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Sebastião Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perdigueira FC's Rafael Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Garcia in the 36th minute of play. Cândido Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Paulo Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Casenho's Paulo Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Moutinho in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Casenho's goalkeeper Paulo Borges, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Casenho's Sebastião Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

André Aleixo charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Aleixo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Casenho booed when Perdigueira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sebastião Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Casenho fans cheered their team off the field, for while Perdigueira FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
