The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Queirós showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sebastião Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Miranda went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Joaquim Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, André Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Goncalvinhos getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Joaquim Coelho hit a great ball. Sebastião Bessa scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Pinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Sebastião Bessa put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Sebastião Pinho. SC Goncalvinhos's André Resende got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Terranho FC's Vicente Campos got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of SC Goncalvinhos booed when Terranho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, SC Goncalvinhos's Artur Rocha broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If André Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Resende might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Resende ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Resende in the 45th minute of play forced Terranho FC's goalkeeper Manuel Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Miranda struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Sebastião Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terranho FC. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

João Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Resende in the 57th minute of play forced Terranho FC's goalkeeper Manuel Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Júlio Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Goncalvinhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Terranho FC the free kick. In the 64th match minute, SC Goncalvinhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Catarino Maia struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Manuel Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Goncalvinhos. Manuel Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Resende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Pinho having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Artur Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Maia in the 78th minute of the match. Artur Rocha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Queirós. Terranho FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manuel Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Maia in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute, André Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Sebastião Pinho. SC Goncalvinhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Alexandre Faro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. João Mendes's late challenge caught a SC Goncalvinhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Mendes helped the player get up and apologised.
