In the 5thth minute of the game Carlos Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Remedios's Eduardo Gueifão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Remedios's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Carlos Cabral 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Joaquim Almeida hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Alberto Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Carneiro having to make a save. If Carlos Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Amaral struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Bruno Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Remedios. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Carlos Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Refugidos's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Gueifão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Gueifão having to interfere. When Heitor Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Remedios's protests and gave Heitor Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Remedios getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Heitor Moreira hit a great ball. Bruno Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Resende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remedios's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Carlos Cabral scored to the left of an out of position Eduardo Gueifão, making the score, 2-0. After taking down the ball on SC Refugidos's corner Joaquim Almeida fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eduardo Gueifão quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Raul Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Moreira during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Remedios fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! With an all-out effort, Remedios's Bruno Carneiro threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Amaral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alberto Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Carneiro having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, SC Refugidos's goalkeeper Bruno Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Resende. With a little luck, SC Refugidos's Bruno Carneiro got control of the ball when André Resende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruno Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remedios were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after SC Refugidos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fábio Moreira took the corner. Remedios's Fábio Moreira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bruno Carneiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. SC Refugidos's Bruno Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Amaral in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Fábio Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carlos Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 98 played minutes Remedios got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Sá. Raul Gomes struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Eduardo Gueifão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Refugidos. SC Refugidos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
