Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Campelo's Cláudio Reis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chapa FC's Luís Teixeira managed to work through Campelo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Luís Teixeira dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 6th match minute, Campelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Macedo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Campelo's zone, Luís Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Machado came out of the goal and Luís Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. José Cruz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sérgio Cunha. Chapa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luís Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Machado having to interfere. Sérgio Cunha stood somewhat misplaced when Cláudio Reis came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. In the 26th minute of the match Alexandre Coimbra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Machado skillfully saved the ball. Luís Teixeira took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Machado. Manuel Machado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 33 minutes, Eusébio Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Campelo and the Chapa FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eusébio Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Manuel Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Abel Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chapa FC's Sérgio Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Reis in the 45th minute of play. Cláudio Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Cunha having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Abel Macedo's late challenge caught a Chapa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Campelo's Abel Macedo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Joaquim Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Machado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Cláudio Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luís Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 73 played minutes Joaquim Lima rounded Campelo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Campelo's Manuel Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Campelo from getting a goal against them. Campelo's Nuno Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Abel Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Mário Cardoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Machado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manuel Machado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joaquim Lima showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 88 minute of play. The Chapa FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
