Júlio Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Mota in the 4th minute of the match. Emanuel Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Afonso Carneiro made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Gueifão in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Carneiro saved SC Vidigal from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SC Vidigal's Fernando Henriques got a free kick in the 11th minute. Eusébio Luz hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute of the match Jorge Matos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Carneiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Júlio Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Assis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Armando Mota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Santos. SC Lousado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Mota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. SC Vidigal's Afonso Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Gueifão in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Cristiano Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Pires's late challenge caught a SC Vidigal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Pires helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes SC Lousado got a freekick which was hit by André Pires. Albertino Assis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SC Lousado booed when SC Vidigal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristiano Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Brito's late challenge caught a SC Lousado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Brito helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Lousado booed when SC Vidigal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Armando Mota made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Pires in the 55th minute of play forced SC Vidigal's goalkeeper Afonso Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, SC Vidigal's Armando Mota ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júlio Santos. Júlio Santos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Júlio Santos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Armando Mota showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 63 minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Lousado's goalkeeper Júlio Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Mota in the 67th minute of play forced SC Lousado's goalkeeper Júlio Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertino Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Júlio Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes SC Vidigal got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Azevedo. André Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Afonso Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Vidigal played a much better game than SC Lousado and deserved their victory. The SC Lousado players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
