Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Simões started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Paulo Brás made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Funcheira's Hugo Magalhães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fernando Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Cláudio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Cerejeira FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nuno Santos in the 21st minute. The corner ended in Nuno Santos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Funcheira's Hugo Magalhães did a great save. In the 22nd minute, Francisco Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Leiria was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Luz in the 26th minute of play forced Cerejeira FC's goalkeeper Fernando Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adelino Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Carlos Maia thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Fernando Leiria, a very annoying self made goal in the 44th minute which led to 1-2. After 48 played minutes Cerejeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Luz. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

SC Funcheira's Amílcar Ribeiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cerejeira FC. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cláudio Luz to make the kick off. When David Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the SC Funcheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Paiva couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Cerejeira FC's Jorge Paredes got a free kick in the 66th minute. Fernando Leiria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adelino Luz in the 67th minute. Delfim Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes SC Funcheira got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Almeida. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Funcheira's goalkeeper Hugo Magalhães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Funcheira's David Paiva got a free kick in the 76th minute. Hugo Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Brás in the 79th minute of the match. Adelino Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hugo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, SC Funcheira's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Brás came free, but Hugo Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, SC Funcheira's Adelino Luz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Leiria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Paulo Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Funcheira eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
