The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Alexandre Domingues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Bicos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pombeiro the free kick. Alexandre Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Eduardo Torres did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Miguel Vieira 4 minutes into the match. Eduardo Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Vieira having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Eduardo Amaro made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Nascimento. Pombeiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miguel Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Correia in the 88th minute of play. David Campos succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
