A collision led to SC Fouto getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Afonso Pinho hit a great ball. Emílio Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Afonso Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Moura having to interfere. Heitor Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Amaral in the 31st minute of play. Jorge Faria's late challenge caught a Findal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heitor Moura showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Augusto Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Heitor Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heitor Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Amaral in the 43rd minute of the match. António Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, SC Fouto's Vasco Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Gomes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Aguiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. António Gomes came out of the goal and Vasco Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasco Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 minutes of play SC Fouto's Jorge Faria was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 78th minute, Jorge Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Findal's Afonso Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87thth minute of the game Emílio Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Findal's António Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emílio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Gomes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Amaral in the 94th minute of play forced SC Fouto's goalkeeper Heitor Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Fouto fans cheered their team off the field, for while Findal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
