Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 played minutes Cerdeira FC got a freekick which was hit by João Porto. Paulo Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14thth minute of the game Alexandre Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Aiao's Gustavo Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amílcar Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Pinto having to interfere. After 20 played minutes SC Aiao got a freekick which was hit by António Ferreira. Gustavo Esteves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 21st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Oliveira Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Alexandre Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Cerdeira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Pinho couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gustavo Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Pinto made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Paulo Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, SC Aiao's Paulo Carvalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lúcio Pinto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Oliveira Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cerdeira FC fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Cerdeira FC's Alexandre Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cerdeira FC's Lúcio Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Cerdeira FC from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Amílcar Melo made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Oliveira Lisboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerdeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliveira Lisboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vítor Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Aiao's zone, Oliveira Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Dias came out of the goal and Oliveira Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bento Fernandes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lúcio Pinto. Cerdeira FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to SC Aiao getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bento Fernandes hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Oliveira Lisboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 minutes, Vítor Leite mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Aiao and the Cerdeira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes SC Aiao got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Leite. If Oliveira Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliveira Lisboa in the 78th minute of the match. When Amílcar Melo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SC Aiao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Melo couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Oliveira Lisboa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
