Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Diamantino Bessa made the kick off and thus started the match. When Diamantino Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Friastelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Bessa couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Vales's zone, Diamantino Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Santos came out of the goal and Diamantino Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Santos having to interfere. Jorge Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Bessa in the 22nd minute of play forced SC Vales's goalkeeper Basílio Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Friastelas! The goalkeeper, Fábio Dantas, was totally fooled by SC Vales's Eusébio Matos, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Friastelas's Alberto Ribeiro got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Miguel Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armando Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Alberto Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Brás in the 37th minute of play forced Friastelas's goalkeeper Fábio Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Armando Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Vales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fábio Dantas made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Armando Faria sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SC Vales getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jaime Pereira hit a great ball. Diamantino Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Basílio Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Miguel Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Brás was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Pereira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Diamantino Bessa had several of the SC Vales's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Basílio Santos as he didn't even see the shot coming. Friastelas's Fábio Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Brás in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Friastelas getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jorge Lima hit a great ball. Armando Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Faria in the 80th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Friastelas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Friastelas's António Dantas got a free kick in the 86th minute. Diamantino Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basílio Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Bessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Albertino Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Vales getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Albertino Dantas hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Diamantino Bessa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basílio Santos, 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Friastelas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
