Basílio Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Pinheiro in the 5th minute of the match. Albertino Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Albertino Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Vales's Miguel Brás got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Nuno Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rui Neto fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colaria FC's protests and gave Rui Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Faria came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and José Pinto could save by the left post. When José Lima fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colaria FC's protests and gave José Lima a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Colaria FC got a freekick which was hit by José Lima. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raul Pinheiro during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raul Pinheiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Filipe Campos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basílio Santos having to make a save. If Filipe Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basílio Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Miranda in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Armando Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pinto having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Colaria FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Armando Faria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Colaria FC's zone, Armando Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pinto came out of the goal and Armando Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Miranda was the one to do the kick off. Basílio Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Miranda in the 51st minute of play. Nuno Miranda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Armando Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pinto having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Miguel Brás cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. José Pinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes into the match, SC Vales's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Miranda came free, but Basílio Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Nuno Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Armando Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Vales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Nuno Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, SC Vales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Pereira to maneuver through the defense. SC Vales's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
