Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Rafael Soares made the kick off and thus started the match. When Domingos Torres fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valada FC's protests and gave Domingos Torres a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Valada FC's Domingos Torres got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Sérgio Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valada FC's Jorge Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Cardoso in the 8th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Nuno Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Verigo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valada FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Verigo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Bento Cabral placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Sérgio Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valada FC's Jorge Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Magalhães in the 21st minute of play. Jorge Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Magalhães in the 27th minute of play. If António Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Magalhães in the 31st minute of the match. Nuno Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Soares in the 33rd minute of play. Rafael Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sérgio Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute António Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Sérgio Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Magalhães made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Valada FC's goal looked a bit too open when António Magalhães came free, but Jorge Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Soares struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Nuno Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valada FC. After 58 played minutes SC Verigo got a freekick which was hit by Bento Sousa. Cristiano Ferreira took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Torres. Nuno Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 71st minute, António Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Cristiano Ferreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Verigo's Nuno Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Soares in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto Aguiar walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. António Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sérgio Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Barbosa having to interfere. Catarino Fonseca hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Jorge Barbosa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Augusto Aguiar.
