Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Óscar Matos took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Alexandre Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th match minute, Frossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Matos to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Manuel Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Freixinho got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Pires. After recieving a nice pass, Frossos FC's Catarino Gomes tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Henrique Pires fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lourenço Amorim, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Freixinho booed when Frossos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Catarino Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freixinho's João Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Alexandre Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freixinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Melo's late challenge caught a Frossos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Melo helped the player get up and apologised. Óscar Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Alexandre Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freixinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Frossos FC's Amílcar Assis got a free kick in the 39th minute. Manuel Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the game, Albertino Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Freixinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frossos FC the free kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henrique Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Lourenço Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Álvaro Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Freixinho's Álvaro Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alexandre Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. When Rodrigo Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frossos FC's protests and gave Rodrigo Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Rodrigo Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Alexandre Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freixinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Freixinho's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Pires came free, but Lourenço Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Pires scored 1-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lourenço Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Álvaro Teixeira took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Delgado. Manuel Delgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Alexandre Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Alexandre Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 minutes, Amílcar Assis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frossos FC and the Freixinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amílcar Assis kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Frossos FC's Manuel Delgado got control of the ball when Álvaro Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henrique Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Óscar Matos in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lourenço Amorim saved Freixinho from getting behind. Álvaro Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Freixinho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Freixinho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
