Mucifal FC's Américo Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Cabral in the 5th minute of play. Cristóvão Ferreira's late challenge caught a Mucifal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Camaroes FC's Cristóvão Ferreira got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 14 minutes, Lourenço Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mucifal FC and the Camaroes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Mucifal FC got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Tavares. Camaroes FC's Humberto Morais suffered a concussion after 17 minutes and had to leave the field. 17 minutes into the game, Pedro Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mucifal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camaroes FC the free kick. João Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasco Abreu in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mucifal FC's zone, Cristóvão Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Jesus came out of the goal and Cristóvão Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Camaroes FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Valente came free, but João Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If André Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Neto in the 46th minute of play forced Camaroes FC's goalkeeper João Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Mucifal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Tavares to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlio Cabral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. André Valente struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. João Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mucifal FC. 59 minutes into the match, Camaroes FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Valente came free, but João Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hugo Neto came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Mucifal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Neto couldn't finish the play. Júlio Cabral hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. André Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Amaral having to interfere. The supporters of Mucifal FC booed when Camaroes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasco Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Vasco Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th play minute André Valente came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João Amaral. 0-1. Cristóvão Ferreira was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cristóvão Ferreira hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 86 minutes in the game, André Valente fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without João Amaral having to interfere. In the 88th minute Hugo Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Valente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Camaroes FC's goalkeeper João Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Neto.
