Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Curro's Jorge Moreira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Vianas short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Bernardo Pedroso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When SC Curro's Jorge Moreira in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Eguins's goalie prevented a goal. Rui Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Eguins's Bento Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Coimbra in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Jorge Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bento Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Miguel Viana charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Viana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, Miguel Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Coimbra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Viana struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Bernardo Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Eguins. In the 40th minute, João Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Rui Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bento Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Moreira in the 44th minute of play. João Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Pedroso having to interfere. When Miguel Viana came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the SC Eguins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Viana couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Azevedo to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, SC Curro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Torres to maneuver through the defense. If Rui Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Jorge Moreira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bento Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Moreira in the 60th minute of play. Artur Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Afonso Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Azevedo in the 82nd minute of play forced SC Curro's goalkeeper Bernardo Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes of play, SC Eguins's João Azevedo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Pedroso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, João Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Fábio Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
